Promises
” You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16 NKJV
This is the purpose for Christ choosing us. We should bear fruit, our fruit should remain and that whatever we ask the Father in His name, He will give us. This is pretty straight forward.
” These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. John 16:1 NKJV
Stand on the words of Christ and you will not be moved!
” Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John 16:7 NKJV
Jesus actually said it was to our advantage that He go away. The Helper will come. The Helper has come. Do you need help? Let Holy Spirit help you.
” However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ” He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. John 16: 13-14 NKJV
One of the great weaknesses in the modern church is its failure to understand the role of The Holy Spirit in our lives. We need to allow The Holy Spirit to fulfill His purpose in our lives. He is Christ in us.
” And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. ” Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16: 23-24 NKJV
People often accuse Father of not caring for us. How many times in the New Testament are we told to ask? Perhaps we should ask.
For you all are sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 NKJV
