LETTER XXIII

Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Highly Exalted One,

Troubleshooting

We forget to tell our new brothers and sisters in Christ that they are going to war. After being enlisted, born-again, we take notice that something has changed. Often, The Lord will grant us a grace period of time to bask in the absolute blessedness of the new birth. However, sooner or later we come to the realization that we are in a fight. Let us identify our enemies.

Our first enemy is the flesh or the “old man.” I realize we touched on this topic recently but let us address again it in the context of enemies. The old man is ever ready to resurrect and take the throne of power in our life. Until we realize the old man is dead, we have no means to combat him. Many christians never achieve victory in this first arena of combat. They daily cannot sustain the grind of denying themselves. God will not do this for us. He will not violate our free will. WE MUST deny the old man.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, ” If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16:24 NKJV

This is a battle of our will. God has done His part and crucified the old man with His beloved Son. It is finished in His eyes. Agree with Father and daily tell the old man that he is dead. After this agreement, do not yield your members to unrighteousness. You are free.

” Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36 NKJV

In our next ” Troubleshooting ” letter, we will address our second enemy, “the world.”

Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 6:23 NKJV

your brother in Christ

P.S. Jesus Christ is coming soon
