LETTER CLX

Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Image of The Invisible God,

Deeper Things

The ever narrowing path:

After being born-again, the Bible speaks of an ever increasing walk of sanctification and obedience to Christ. In response to the incredible gift of salvation, made possible for us us by the finished work of Jesus Christ, we lay our lives down as a living sacrifice.

The Holy Spirit takes this surrender of ours and begins the process of transforming us from the inside out. As The Spirit addresses different areas of our lives, He requires submission on our part to God’s perfect will. If we fail to submit, our Heavenly Father begins to gently discipline us. If we continue to disregard His will, the discipline becomes more severe.

Whether we like it or not, there are many areas of our fallen nature that must align with our new nature in Christ. The Holy Spirit, in His own wisdom and timing, usually addresses one area at a time. As a new born baby in Christ, there are many unaddressed areas of our lives and our paths of wandering are rather extensive. As we mature in Christ, we are not free to wander as we once were. The path becomes more and more narrow. In maturity, our focus becomes total obedience to Christ and His will for us each day. We neither look to the right or to the left. Our narrow gaze is full upon our Savior. The path has become fully narrowed.

your brother in Christ

P.S. Jesus Christ is coming soon.

Do not be deceived.
