Troubleshooting
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 1:6-7 NKJV
The purpose of this letter is to bring comfort to those under severe trial. This is the trial where sleep flees from us and each day blurs into the next. It is the trial where light cannot be seen. It is the trial where Father’s voice is silent to our ears. It is the trial of Job.
For the mature man or woman in Christ, God will sometimes allow times of sore testing. In these difficult times, The Lord Most High will allow the enemy, seemingly, free rein with your life. The test may be spiritual, physical, mental, emotional or any combination. These are not pleasant times. The book of Job illustrates this testing with vivid clarity.
For you, the child of God, all test are given to break the last vestiges of the old man, to mature you in your faith and bring complete freedom and blessing. God desires you to be free and live the abundant life Christ died to provide. Almost without exception, the purpose of the test is to reveal areas of our life that are yet yielded to God’s perfect will. The test is given to uncover this disobedience. Tests take the written Word and inscribe it on our hearts. The Word can only become ” real” through fire. It is a holy branding.
When severe trials come, first and foremost, ask The Holy Spirit to reveal any area of your life that is in disobedience. The answer may not be immediate. It will come if you truly desire to know and repent. If you are not yet ready to repent, the trial will persist until Father breaks your stubborn will.
For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: Hebrews 10:36 NKJV
