Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Captain of our Salvation,
Troubleshooting
that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:26-27 NKJV
In this letter we will continue our discussion of Father’s discipline. The above scripture sums up, beautifully, the ultimate purpose for discipline. We are to be holy and without blemish.
Do not forget this most important truth. In God’s eyes we are already complete in Christ. The old man has been crucified and we are new creatures in Christ Jesus. The problem lies on our end. Ignorance, personal history, lack of spiritual discernment, and rebellion, often lead to a lifetime of discipline from Father. The discipline is not necessary, but it is reality. If we would but believe and act upon the truth of our redemption, we could avoid a lot of spankings.
Another name for this season of discipline is the ” breaking process” or the wilderness experience. The Israelite’s wanderings, in the wilderness, provide a perfect picture of this season of discipline. The length of our time in the wilderness is directly related to our submission to Father’s will. A sobering reminder; It did not end well for most of the wanderers.
This Christian walk is rather simple. Christ has done all of the work. Know what He has done for you. Believe in what He has done for you. Act as if you truly believe.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 2 Corinthians 1:3 NKJV
your brother in Christ
P.S. Jesus Christ is coming soon
