LETTER XXXV

Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Last,

Troubleshooting

In this letter we will address our second enemy in the spirit realm, the hierarchy of fallen angels. Unlike our first enemy demons, fallen angels have spirit bodies and can, at times, appear in the physical realm.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

This scripture clearly describes the different levels of angelic darkness. The text also informs us that we will engage in very real combat with these entities. There is a very real wrestling.

These fallen ones have only one purpose, to thwart the plans of Almighty God. Since they have absolutely no power to harm God, they delight in bringing all of their wicked resources to bear against the beings who are created in Father’s image. If allowed, they will bring all manner of infirmity against the unprotected; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. They will harass, condemn, sow discord and doubt, tempt and trouble.

As with demons, the victory over these fallen ones has already been won. Jesus Christ is our victor. The Name of Jesus Christ is sufficient to stand against these enemies.

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:15 NKJV

Fallen angelic beings use two avenues of attack. One, they take advantage of weaknesses in our defenses. We open ourselves to this assault by personal sin and lack of vigilance and preparation. To prevent this type of attack, we must be clean of rebellion in our hearts and confess all sin. We also must daily dress in the armor of God. In addition, it is important that we are untainted by demonic spirits. I again recommend the excellent ministries of Neil Anderson and Don Dickerman and their teachings on spiritual house-cleaning. This first avenue is the chief reason for attack.

The second avenue of attack is through permission granted by our Heavenly Father. We see this illustrated in the life of Job. Father God grants the enemy permission to attack in order to accomplish His perfect purpose in our lives or to discipline. In this avenue of attack, we must rely upon the promise that God will not allow us to be tried beyond our ability to bare. Having done our part in spiritual preparation, we must stand. A word of warning; We are not to seek combat with these beings. We are to stand. These are not demons that can be cast out.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-11,13 NKJV

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 NKJV
