Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Name above every name,
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ” Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17 NKJV
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that is was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6 NKJV
With this one solitary act of disobedience, sin entered the human race. Darkness and isolation enveloped Adam and Eve. Outside of the Son of God, no one has experienced the awfulness of sin like these two. Since that terrible day, we have all participated in the tragedy and have taken our seat at the table of sin.
Adam and Eve died that day. The body did not immediately expire, but it’s fate was now certain. Invisible corruption and decay set in. Sickness and death were birthed. The soul did not die that day, but man’s soul became bent and broken. A torrent of negative emotions overwhelmed the first couple. Man’s personality would forever foster darkness.
What did die that day was the spirit of man. Separation from The Holy Spirit of God was instantaneous. Man was now dead in his trespasses and sin. The union of man’s spirit and The Spirit of God was broken. Man became lost.
How could man ever return to The Garden? How could the first fellowship be restored? From humanity’s side, there is no passage back. There are not enough rituals, religions, or works, to restore the brokenness. The way back would have to originate from God’s side. The bridge would have to come from a merciful and all wise Father.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV
Grace be with you all. Amen. Hebrews 13:25 NKJV
