LETTER XI

Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The King of Kings,

People generally view faith as some special anointment that God showers upon a few exclusive believers. Faith is simply believing and acting upon The Word of God. Now, there is a supernatural gift of The Holy Spirit called faith . ( see 1 Corinthians 12: 7-11 ) This gift is imparted as The Spirit wills and is manifested for extraordinary times of need and ministry. The vast majority of times that faith is used in scripture, however, is not in the context of faith as a gift of The Holy Spirit.

We do not have to search a great distance for a proper definition of faith. The Bible defines the word for us.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

The word substance, as used in this passage, can be translated as giving substance to or substantiating. This means giving reality to. It is the evidence of things not seen. In other words, faith gives reality to things that are not yet discernible in our sense realm. Before revelations, or answers to our expression of faith are given in the realm of our spirit, soul and or body, faith must be executed and substituted for what is not currently seen.

Do you have faith? As our journey progresses in this blog, you will come to the realization that modern christians exert very little faith. Whether we admit it or not, we are spiritually lazy and unfit.

Jesus made the following astonishing statement: I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8 NKJV

Look at the context of the entire passage. ( Luke 18: 1-8 ) This passage so clearly pictures the process of executing faith. Faith requires effort. Often it requires extraordinary effort, especially in the early stages of our walk.

Actively believing The Word of God, often contrary to everything discernible in the sense realm, requires an effort of the will. Nothing pleases your heavenly Father more, than this effort.

May Almighty God raise up an army of TRUE believers.

Grace be with you all. Amen. Hebrews 13:25 NKJV

your brother in Christ
