Greetings in The Name of Jesus Christ, The Glad Tiding,
If one wants to absolutely communicate a message without any confusion about it’s content, one writes it down. All communications down through the annuls of history, dealing with important matters such as law, contracts, and finances, are based on this premise. A written word is still our best method of offering clear and concise communication.
God knew this. We are wired for the word. Our Father foreknew, that in our fallen state, we would be very susceptible to confusion and deception. As true believers, even though we have The Spirit of The Living God dwelling in us, our inward thoughts, other people, and entities in the spirit realm, play havoc with our ability to clearly hear the voice of our Creator. We live in the soup.
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalms 119:105 NKJV
This introduction brings us to the second reason Abba Father gave us a written Word. The Word provides an anchor and a fallback, to absolute truth. All of our daily experiences must be tested and verified by The Holy Scriptures.
“The Word” gets the last word in all matters of this life.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NKJV
