LETTER I

Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ, The Alpha and Omega,

No matter what our spiritual age, our goal is to grow into full maturity in Christ. (see Ephesians 4:13) Many christians, in today’s society, are regressing in their spiritual growth. Supernatural opposition, personal sin, the love of the world, and ignorance of our spiritual heritage, are a few of the many reasons for this stagnation.

In this letter, I would like to help us cement our world view in accordance with God’s Word. The following four foundations will provide a proper anchoring for viewing our lives, in relation to the great cosmic drama being played out on this stage of human history.

Foundation 1: Remember the Garden

Our first glimpse of God and ourselves occurs in the first few chapters of Genesis. We must never forget God’s original plan and purpose for man.

1. Our lives were to have intimacy and daily fellowship with The Creator.
2. Our lives were to be secure in the knowledge of the character of God and His words.
3. Our lives were to have purpose.
4. Our lives were to revolve around and be intertwined with God’s creation.

There was to be no confusion, no anxiety or fear, no self image problems, no financial worries, no sin, no sickness, no death, no emotional separation from God. Never confuse your daily life with God’s original perfect plan. Our lives and the social fabric we weave our lives around are but a fading shadow of the Divine plan. Without the intervention of Jesus Christ into human history, this tragedy would have eternally remained.

In our next letter, we will take a look at the second foundational truth for a correct worldview.
